Story #2: How Gowri broke away from a "is this it?" corporate life

We have the second story in the Breaking Good stories series. Gowri N Kishore was the first one to reach out to me after reading a post here and I personally like her policy of only responding slowly and deliberately on email.

Now, onto her breaking good story.
Breaking good from a corporate career isn’t usually a linear arc. It’s moulting from one form to another. The transformation from being a corporate moth to a freelancing butterfly involves a few stages:
Breaking Away - the moment you cut the tether, both giddy and terrified.
The Flailing / Stumbling - when you wake up on a Monday morning, and there’s no one to tell you what to do, and you flail around.
